Rizzo's Pizza (Steinway)

I dont usually write reviews but- we ordered Rizzos through GrubHub and the order was pretty late so I called wondering what happened. Turns out the GrubHub driver had a minor accident (hope hes ok) so everything was delayed. The owner David got on the phone with me, was so apologetic and even refunded my order. A few minutes later the pizza arrived (by magic bus?) so I let David Rizzo know not to refund the order because the pizza arrived. He STILL gave us a refund and told us to enjoy and with all the craziness going on he was so pleasant and didnt rush me off the phone. Not only is the pizza amazing, its clear that customer satisfaction is VERY important to these people and lately, thats pretty hard to find. Weve been ordering Rizzos forever and that wont change any time soon. Keep doing exactly what youre doing!

So we've been getting our Vegan Pizza from Screamers in BK, and on a whim we decided to search for places closer to home. We weren't disappointed with Rizzo's. I ordered just the plain Vegan Pizza and legit ate the whole thing minus one slice, delicious. My girl and her folks who are up from Mexico had the eggplant vegan pizza with peppers, green and black olives, and capers and they loved it. We will definitely be ordering from them again in the very near future. Great job Rizzo's!!

I really enjoyed their pizza! It was very tasty and the sauce was perfect. I got the eggplant and ricotta pizza. Very much enjoyed it. Also ordered the garlic knots and they were awesome as well. Definitely recommend this place. Although it's not typical New York pizza so if that's what you are looking for, don't complain afterwards. I think it's by far the best pizza in Astoria.

$11.00 for personal pizza. the pizza is fresh and they delivered quickly. thin, toasty crust, fresh basil, cheese, tomato sauce and i added $1.00 grilled chicken. it was great. second time ordering from rizzo's. will order next time i want this kind of pizza.

Pizza was a little too thin honestly. I also asked for extra cheese but there were a lot of patches of barely any cheese or just sauce on the pizza. Flavor was good though, and the garlic knots were good. Just wish they gave 6 instead of 4.

Pizzas with very thin, crispy crusts rarely deliver well, but Rizzo did a pretty good job. I had a personal pie (8"-9" I'd guess) and garlic knots, all very tasty and hot on arrival, still crispy at the edges but the center got a bit soggy. I live in Long Island City so cold food is too frequent, this beat the average. Their pizza sauce was zesty but didn't overwhelm the onions or sausage. The knots were flattened loops of dough the size of Smuckers jar lid. They had a savory aroma and you could actually taste the fresh garlic, which makes them the best garlic knots I've had in Queens. Hopefully they stay consistent. This makes a nice, crispy crust alternative to Sac's Place, whose grandma pie is my other favorite delivery pizza in the area.

After the pizza place just up the block from us closed, my husband and I were at a loss about where to order from. After reading the reviews (not to mention passing it thousands of times while walking up and down Steinway), we decided to give Rizzo's a try. All I can say it, WOW....delicious!!! This was the best pizza we've had in ages. The sauce was delicious, the cheeses were wonderfully fresh, the crust was thin, crisp, and tasty...not to mention how generous they were with the pepperoni. This was our first time ordering from Rizzo's, but it definitely won't be our last. We've finally found our pizza place again!

Hands down the best pizza in Astoria, no question. Also it's a family business with very cool owners. The first time I called them I asked for a topping that was no longer available so I was invited to come and try several things gratis. Make sure to try the square pies - I'm not normally a Sicilian slice guy but this is thin-crust Sicilian and it is great. Also, they have a good house salad.

I just ordered the bandier gluten-free cauliflower pizza and added marinated mushrooms... it was so good, it was gone in 10 mins... there werent a lot of mushrooms but it was still so good. The only thing is the cauliflower crust isnt very filling, I wish I had ordered a salad or something but the pizza was amazing.

Rizzo's is some of THE MOST delicious pizza I have ever had. The regular square, Aumma Aumma and the Bruchetta pies are our favorite. We moved to Astoria 8 months ago and this was the first place we ordered in from...they even threw in free cannolis. :) Glad you're now on seamless! Try it and you won't be disappointed!
